It was a full house at our LAK17 ‘Connecting Data with Student Support Actions in a Course’ Tutorial in Vancouver on Tuesday morning, with participants from 30 institutions worldwide represented!
The OnTask team led the group through 2 scenarios: the first examined how prompt, personalised feedback could be provided to students after their midterm exams, and the second explored the possibilities afforded by data from a discussion forum.
The OnTask Learning Tool was then used to create support action workplans and create personalised messages for individual students. The participants’ feedback has been positive.
The OnTask Learning tool will be available for download in the second half of 2017.
The OnTask Project also includes training activities through workshops to explore the connection between data and personalised student support actions as well as the adoption of these techniques at the institutional level.
